Mars Hill defeats Cobras in SAC action
The Mars Hill women's tennis team (7-9, 2-7 SAC) defeated Coker (4-14, 0-9 SAC) by a score of 5-2 Friday afternoon.
HARTSVILLE, S.C. - The Mars Hill women's tennis team (7-9, 2-7 SAC) defeated Coker (4-14, 0-9 SAC) by a score of 5-2 Friday afternoon.
The Lions won the first and third flights in doubles to enter singles play up 1-0. Mars Hill got wins in the first, fourth, fifth, and sixth flights to secure the wins. Amanda Kadiri battled back from one set down to win the first flight. Mpolokeng Aletta Macheli won the fourth flight with a decisive 6-1 third set while Lauren Schave completed her comeback, taking sets two and three. Victoria Franklin, in the fifth flight, won in straight sets.
Mars Hill takes on UVA Wise on Tuesday, April 5 on the road. First serve is set for 3:30 p.m.
