Andreas, Honeycutt named AFCA All-Americans

WACO, Texas - Leondre Andreas was named to the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) All-American First Team Offense while Landon Honeycutt was named to the All-American Second Team Defense.

ROCK HILL, S.C. - Mars Hill landed three football players on D2CCA All-Southeast Region teams, as released Thursday afternoon.
Offensive lineman Leondre Andreas was a First Team selection along with linebacker Landon Honeycutt. Andreas was named to the All-SAC Offense team earlier this postseason and also won the Jacobs Blocking Trophy, given to the best offensive lineman in the league. It marks the first time a Lion has won that award since the 2016 season.
Honeycutt was the statistical champion in tackles per game, averaging 10.6 over 10 games. He led the league with 106 tackles, adding 10.5 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, and one forced fumble.
Defensive lineman Damipi Lamboni was a Second Team selection. Lamboni, the senior from Charlotte, North Carolina, led the Lions with 12 sacks on the year and 17 tackles for loss. He forced a team-high two fumbles and totaled 41 tackles over 10 games.
