Lumley Named to All-Tournament Team; Lions Finish in 10th
The Mars Hill men’s golf team finished in 10th place at the 2014 Food Lion South Atlantic Conference Championship at Sevierville Golf Club. Freshman Adam Lumley finished in a tie for ninth place.
SEVIERVILLE, TENN. - The Mars Hill men's golf team finished in 10th place at the 2014 Food Lion South Atlantic Conference Championship at Sevierville Golf Club.
SAC Freshman of the Year Adam Lumley earned a spot on the All-Tournament Second Team. Lumley finished in a tie for ninth place with a 54-hole score of 230. Lumley was consistent through all three rounds, firing an opening round 75, followed by a 77 yesterday and a 78 today.
Charles Hartzog and Cole Swezey tied for 37th with a three-day total of 246. Nick Caruso needed four more strokes than his Lion teammates to complete the tournament, finishing in a tie for 49th with a 250.
Carson-Newman won the tournament with a three-day total of 925, one stroke ahead of second place Wingate. Wingate's Ben Gebhardt was the individual medalist, finishing at an even-par 216.
