Ortiz leads Lions to two school records at Fall Frenzy

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Erwin Ortiz time in the 200 yard freestyle set a new record for the Mars Hill men's swimming program on Saturday at the Fall Frenzy Invitational. He was also a member of the record setting men's 800 yard freestyle team.
Ortiz swam a time of 1:39.88 to make the national cut. He, along with Angel Regalado, Matthew Walker and Vitor Goncalves, set a time of 6:53.89. The team finished fourth overall.
Mars Hill sits in fifth place with 562 points. Combined with the Mars Hill women's team, the Lions are fifth overall with 1,022.5 points.
