GREENEVILLE, Tenn. - The Mars Hill women's lacrosse team (2-7, 1-4 SAC) was defeated by Tusculum (4-8, 2-3 SAC) by a score of 18-3 Saturday afternoon.
The Pioneers held Mars Hill scoreless in the first half, leading 12-0 after the first 30 minutes of play. Liberty Jones scored four goals in the half while Lucy Brewer, Zuza Stasiak, and Kylie Marek each netted two goals.
Allison Page, with 4:28 left in the third, broke the shutout bid by converting on the free position attempt. In the fourth, Ashley Lindsay and Samantha Newton each scored off of free positions.
Brewer led all players with six points (4g, 2a) followed by four points from Jones (4g) and Marek (3g, 1a).
Mars Hill returns to action on Wednesday, March 27 when they face Lenoir-Rhyne. First draw is set for 7 p.m. inside the Ammons Family Athletic Center and Meares Stadium.
