Women's Cross Country Picked to Finish 6th in SAC
Mars Hill women picked to finish in sixth place in the SAC
ROCK HILL, S.C. - The Mars Hill women's cross country team has been picked to finish in sixth place in the South Atlantic Conference in a preseason poll of the league's coaches, conference officials announced this morning.
Mars Hill earned 77 points, with fifth place Lincoln Memorial earning 83 points and seventh place Brevard tallying 48 points. Defending champion Wingate was picked to repeat as the Bulldogs accumulated 125 points and eight first place votes. Queens was chosen to finish second with 114 points and eight first place votes.
The Lions begin the 2015 season next Friday at the Covered Bridge Open hosted by Appalachian State. The meet is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
