Robinson Leads Women's Cross Country at Bulldog Stampede
Mars Hill scored a 16th place finish at the Bulldog Stampede on Saturday
WINGATE, N.C.- The Mars Hill women's cross country team finished in 16th place at the Bulldog Stampede hosted by Wingate University on Saturday morning.
Shelby Robinson led the Lions with a 6 kilometer time of 25:11.95 and a 54th place finish. Dawn Radford finished in 77th place with a time of 25:53.38. Savannah Hulbert scored an 81st place finish, crossing the line in 26:17.48.
In her first collegiate race, Nyla Feeney finished in 91st place with a time of 26:40.33. Andrea Wolfrey finished in 92nd place (26:45.02). Justice Nelson finished with a 6k time of 27:28.81, followed by Danielle Dunn in 28:14.88. The Lions had a team average time of 26:09.63, which is 20 seconds faster than their previous personal best.
Mars Hill returns to action on Friday, October 9 at the Queens Invite.
