GREENEVILLE, Tenn. - The Mars Hill men's soccer team (6-6-2, 2-5-2 SAC) was defeated by a score of 2-0 by Tusculum (7-6-1, 5-3-1 SAC) on the road Saturday afternoon.
Dario Ljubic scored both goals for the Pioneers. His first on the night and third of the season was scored in the 34th minute. Tusculum would carry the 1-0 lead into the half.
Ljubic added his second of the night in the 60th minute, heading the ball past Mars Hill goalkeeper Brian Salzman to double the Pioneers' lead.
Alejandro Quiriti stopped both shots he faced on the evening. Salzman made seven saves in the contest, his second seven save performance on the year.
The Lions were outshot 18-4 in the contest, including an 11-1 disadvantage in the second half.
Mars Hill closes out their 2018 regular season with a home contest against Queens. The match, held inside the Ammons Family Athletic Center and Meares Stadium, will also be the team's Senior Day. The game is slated for a 3:30 p.m. start on Saturday, October 27th.
