MARS HILL, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's tennis team (2-7, 1-6 SAC) was shutout, 7-0, versus Tusculum (7-1, 3-0 SAC) Wednesday afternoon.
With each team having one a doubles match apiece, a tiebreaker between flight was to determine who entered singles play up 1-0. Tom Farman and Leo Bernardes won their tiebreak over Kenta Kondou and Maneul Almeida. The duo of Leon Huck and Nemanja Subanovic eeked past Rodrigo Ramos and Marcos Martinez, 7-4 in the tiebreak, to carry the advantage into singles play.
Tusculum took all singles matches in straight sets, winning their sixth in a row.
Mars Hill returns to the courts on Saturday, March 20 when they host Limestone. First serve is set for 1 p.m.
