Mars Hill Athletics announces spring fan policies
The Mars Hill University Athletic Department has announced their fan policies for the upcoming spring season.
MARS HILL, N.C. - The Mars Hill University Athletic Department has announced their fan policies for the upcoming spring season.
Visiting team fans will not be permitted on the campus of Mars Hill University. Live stat and video links will be available for the majority of home events.
For indoor events such as the remaining portion of the men's and women's basketball seasons as well as volleyball, Chambers Gymnasium will be limited to 25 home fans. For outdoor events such as men's and women's lacrosse and men's and women's soccer, Meares Stadium will be limited to 100 home fans, per North Carolina state law. Attendance for Mars Hill football games will be determined at a later date.

Below is the updated fan protocols for spring sports at Mars Hill University:
- MASKS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES BY EVERYONE AT MARS HILL ATHLETIC VENUES.
- If an official cannot receive a PCR test within 72 hours before the contest or an antigen test 24 hours before the day of competition, they can receive an antigen test on site in the physician's exam room in Chambers Gymnasium.
- A pass list by both Mars Hill teams must be submitted 24 hours prior to all home contests by the head coaches.
- Fans not on the pass list will not be permitted entry to athletic events.
- Only home fans and essential working personnel are allowed at the contests. No visiting fans will be permitted on campus.
- Most home contest will be live streamed. Links can be found on marshilllions.com
- Maximum of 100 fans in attendance for each game. No outside attendance permitted.
- No concessions will be provided.
- Visiting team personnel will be required to enter and exit the same area that they were screened.
- Fans are not allowed to be in or near team areas including, but not limited to locker room areas, team benches, huddles, etc.
- Groups will be designated to sit 12-feet apart, as marked by the taped marks in the bleachers or by designated areas at baseball and softball.
- Fans are not permitted to congregate at ticket/concession areas pregame, halftime, or postgame.
- For scheduled double-header contests, fans attending the first contest must exit the stadium promptly at the end of the event to begin our sanitation procedures for the second contest.
- Game time for the second contest will follow 45 minutes after the completion of the first contest to allow for sanitization of the stadium.
- Fans of the second contest must exit the stadium promptly at the end of the event. There will be no congregating on the field, bleachers or in the locker room areas after the contest.
