Men's Cross Country Concludes NCAA Championships
SAINT LEO, FLA. – The Mars Hill men’s cross country team competed in the 2016 NCAA Division II Cross Country National Championships on Saturday morning.
SAINT LEO, FLA. – The Mars Hill men's cross country team competed in the 2016 NCAA Division II Cross Country National Championships on Saturday morning. The Lions finished 29th out of 32 teams, but was the top-finishing South Atlantic Conference team.
Nathan Jones capped off his final cross country race with a 138th place finish, which was also good enough for first on the team with a time of 32:53.7. Brandon Beard and Garrett Farrimond were able to capture second and third on the team with times of 33:24.8 and 33:38, respectively. Beard had the best split time (4:13.4) of all Mars Hill runners on the morning. Noah Allison and Gil Gilreath finished neck-and-neck in 196th and 198th.
Nick Resor ran a great time of 34:57.6 while Tucker Dandenault finished his first career nationals appearance with a respectable time of 36:13.5.
