Mars Hill rolls UVA Wise for second straight win
The Mars Hill women's tennis team (7-5, 2-3 SAC) defeated UVA Wise (6-9, 0-5 SAC) by a score of 6-1 Thursday afternoon.
MARS HILL, N.C. - The Mars Hill women's tennis team (7-5, 2-3 SAC) defeated UVA Wise (6-9, 0-5 SAC) by a score of 6-1 Thursday afternoon.
Mars Hill's first and second doubles' flights won to earn the 1-0 advantage heading into singles play. The duos of Elana Mackey/Amanda Kadiri and Ines Rodriguez/Kate Brzostek won their matches 7-5 and 6-1, respectively.
The Lions took five of the six singles flights to claim their second straight win. In flight two, Kadiri rallied from down 4-1 in the third to take the deciding set, 7-5. Mackey, Brzostek, Rodriguez, and Maria Razzetta each took their matches in straight sets.
Mars Hill returns to the Hart Tennis Complex on Friday, March 24 when they host No. 24 Anderson at 2 p.m.
