The Mars Hill women's tennis team (7-6, 2-4 SAC) was defeated 5-2 by No. 24 Anderson (11-1, 6-1 SAC) Friday afternoon.
MARS HILL, N.C. - The Mars Hill women's tennis team (7-6, 2-4 SAC) was defeated 5-2 by No. 24 Anderson (11-1, 6-1 SAC) Friday afternoon.
With the doubles court split 1-1, Anderson was able to take the third flight, earning the 1-0 advantage heading into singles play.
The Trojans took flights two through five to claim the win. Elana Mackey won flight one in straight sets while Maria Razzetta rallied in the third set to take the sixth flight.
Mars Hill wraps up their four-match homestand on Sunday at 2 p.m. when they host Montevallo. First serve is set for 2 p.m. at the Hart Tennis Complex.
