Johnson earns AVCA All-Region Honorable Mention accolade
Mars Hill senior middle hitter SallyAnne Johnson was named a 2019 AVCA Division II All-Southeast Region Honorable Mention selection.
LEXINGTON, Ky. - Mars Hill senior middle hitter SallyAnne Johnson was named a 2019 AVCA Division II All-Southeast Region Honorable Mention selection.
Johnson posted impressive numbers in final season with the Lions, knocking down 276 kills and boasting a hitting percentage of .324, both career-highs. She racked up 93 blocks, including a career-high 29 solo. She ended her career with a tie for the most career blocks in school history, collecting 382 over her four years.
Johnson was named to the 2019 All-SAC Second Team and garnered Female Athlete of the Year and Woman of the Year honors during the 2020 Lions' Choice Awards, the annual awards banquet for Mars Hill University athletics.
