Martins named preseason All-SAC First Team, Lions tabbed sixth
Mars Hill senior libero Ully Martins was named to the 2020-21 preseason All-South Atlantic Conference First Team Thursday morning, as announced by the league.
ROCK HILL, S.C. - Mars Hill senior libero Ully Martins was named to the 2020-21 preseason All-South Atlantic Conference First Team Thursday morning, as announced by the league. Junior outside hitter Sarah Goddard was selected All-SAC Second Team.
Martins appeared in all 30 contests for the Lions last season and racked up 606 digs and 79 assists. Martins finished second in the conference with her 606 digs and averaging 5.77 per set.
Goddard led the Lions last year with 312 kills, averaging 2.97 kills per set, appearing in all 30 games. She added 176 digs and knocked down 46 blocks.
The Lions were selected sixth in the preseason poll, accumulating 94 points.
