MARS HILL, N.C. - Every Wednesday throughout the 2020 fall semester, Mars Hill Athletics will feature and show appreciation to Mars Hill University Faculty and Staff for their support of our student-athletes.
This week, we feature Dr. Craig Goforth.
Q: How long have you been at MHU?
A: 30.5 years.
Q: What is your favorite sport to watch/attend at MHU?
A: I go to all I can; can't make golf usually because of location, same for track.
Q: What makes the MHU student-athlete special?
A: It takes a driven, dedicated person to be a student athlete. They have to be motivated to be successful both in the classroom and on their playing surface.
Q: What do you hope the student-athlete experience is like during their time at MHU?
A: Inclusive, that they feel valued as both students and athletes, for the time they put into representing this great place.
Q: What do you hope the student-athletes take away from their time, as a whole, at MHU?
A: That they leave here transformed as an academic person and that they are blessed that they got to compete at the higher level. That they always remember this is another home for them and we have their back.
