GAFFNEY, S.C. - The Mars Hill Lions were shutout 3-0 on the road against Limestone College. Ben Lucas made four saves in the contest.
The Saints got on the board at 34:36 of the first half to open up the scoring. Dimitri Ney found a loose ball in the box and shot it past Lucas to the far post to go up 1-0.
Ney assisted on the Saints' second goal that came off the foot of Ruairi Croskery. The ball was sent inside the far post at the 50:17 mark of the second half.
Just over seven minutes later, Ivan Tapuskovic buried a blast into the top left corner of the net to put the Saints up by three. Croskery picked up the assist.
The Lions only managed one shot throughout the contest.
"We did some good things," head coach Gary Hamel said after the game, "But overall, we didn't stay focused on what we have been working on as a team. We need to regroup and get ready for Mount Olive on Sunday."
Mars Hill is back in action Sunday, September 3 as they head on the road to face the Trojans in Greensboro, North Carolina at MacPherson Stadium. The contest is slated to begin at 5 p.m.
