Three Lions earn 2017 all-conference honors
Mars Hill University's Oscar Mitchell, Stian Sanner and Cam Macer received all-conference nods from the postseason South Atlantic Conference annual awards revealed on Wednesday morning.
ROCK HILL, S.C. - Mars Hill University's Oscar Mitchell, Stian Sanner and Cam Macer received all-conference nods from the postseason South Atlantic Conference annual awards revealed on Wednesday morning.
Mitchell earned second team all-conference for the second year in a row. The junior defender started all 15 contests for the Lions and had one assist on the season.
Sanner earned all-conference honorable mention after leading the Lions with four goals and 10 points on the season. The senior from Kristiansand, Norway closed out his Mars Hill career with 34 points (12 G, 10 A) in 44 contests with five game-winning goals.
Like Mitchell and Sanner, Macer also started in every game for Mars Hill in the 2017 campaign. He was fifth on the team in shots, booting 13 attempts at opposing goalkeepers. The mention is his first in his collegiate career.
