Lions winning streak ends on road against Lenoir-Rhyne
The Mars Hill Lions men's soccer team was downed on the road Wednesday evening, 2-0, against the Lenoir-Rhyne Bears. The loss ended their two-game winning streak.

HICKORY, N.C. - The Mars Hill Lions men's soccer team was downed on the road Wednesday evening, 2-0, against the Lenoir-Rhyne Bears. The loss ended their two-game winning streak.
Ignacio de Goya's two strikes took down the Lions on the road.
His first goal of the night and fifth of the season came late in the first half off of a penalty kick. The shot beat Lions' goalkeeper Ben Lucas to put the Lions down by one.
In the final minutes of the contest, de Goya's sixth of the season was put in off of a rebound.
Elliot Tate led the Lions with two shots on goal. Ben Lucas made seven saves on nine shots.
The Bears improve to 5-2-2 (2-2-1 SAC) while the Lions fall to 3-5-1 (2-2-1 SAC).
Mars Hill will head to Charlotte, North Carolina to take on Queens Saturday, October 7. The contest is slated to begin at 7:30 p.m.
