Women's Track In Sixth At SAC Championships

HICKORY, N.C. – The Mars Hill women's track and field team currently sits in sixth place after day one of the 2016 South Atlantic Conference Championship, hosted by Lenoir-Rhyne University.
Kaleigh Jackson paced the way for the Saints with a fourth place finish in the 10,000 meter race with a time of 39:35.75 while teammate Shelby Robinson came in just behind her in fifth, crossing the line in 39:52.56. Shahnika Williams captured a sixth place finish in the long jump with a distance of 5.15 meters.
The team will continue its push to a conference championship as the concluding day begins early on Saturday morning.
