Mueller sets MHU record in pentathlon at NCAA DII Indoor Pre-Nationals

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - The Mars Hill women's indoor track & field team competed at the NCAA DII Indoor Pre-Nationals over the past two days, concluding Saturday afternoon.
DAY ONE
Alina Mueller placed third in the pentathlon with an overall score of 2,950 points, besting her previous best of 2,715pts.
The pentathlon consists of the following events:
- 60m hurdles: 10.08s, 697pts
- High Jump: 1.52m, 644 pts (Personal Best)
- Shot Put: 8.47m, 430 pts (Season Best)
- Long Jump: 4.93m, 540 pts (Personal Best)
- 800m: 2:34.42, 639pts (Season Best)
- Point total: 2,950pts, New School Record
DAY TWO
Keagan Osika placed 40th overall in the 200m finishing in a time of 27.64s
The Lions return to action on Saturday, February 25 when they open up the 2023 South Atlantic Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships.
