Lions Place Fifth in the Winthrop Invitational
ROCK HILL, S.C.-- Mars Hill's women's cross country team placed fifth among Division II teams in the Winthrop Invitational, held Saturday morning.
ROCK HILL, S.C.-- Mars Hill's women's cross country team placed fifth among Division II teams in the Winthrop Invitational, held Saturday morning.
The Lions totaled a score of 130 points in the race. Jessica Viscusi paced MHU with a sixth-place finish. Alabama-Huntsville won the team championship. Vicky Winslow paced Alabama-Huntsville with the individual championship and a time of 17:53.66.
Viscusi's time of 19:03.76 was good enough for sixth place. Faith Trammell placed 15th overall with a time of 20:03.09.
Heidi Hooker (31st), Shelby Robinson (38th) and Anje Kidd (43rd) rounded out Mars Hill's point earners.
Mars Hill will compete in the Louisville Classic Saturday, Oct. 5.
