Lions Turn in Strong Performance in Louisville Classic
LOUISVILLE, KY.-- Mars Hill runners turned in a strong performance at Saturday's Louisville Classic, held at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park.
LOUISVILLE, KY.-- Mars Hill runners turned in a strong performance at Saturday's Louisville Classic, held at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park.
Jessica Viscusi paced all Lion runners with a 29th-place finish in the Blue Seeded race at the meet. The race course was the site of the 2012 NCAA Division I National Championships. The 5,000-meter Blue Seeded race included runners from NCAA Division I, Division II and NAIA Institutions. Over 320 runners representing 51 institutions competed.
Viscusi finished in 19:07.41 for her 29th-place finish. She finished second among South Atlantic Conference runners in the event.
Faith Trammell ran a time of 20:10.16 to finish second among Lion runners. Heidi Hooker, Anje Kidd and Shelby Robinson rounded out Mars Hill's top five runners.
Mars Hill will compete in the Royals Pre-Region Challenge in Charlotte on Oct. 11.
