Gragg Sets School Record in 5K
KNOXVILLE, TENN.-- Mars Hill track and field member Justin Gragg set a school record in the 5K at the Sea Ray Invitational Friday.
Gragg beat the previous school record by 18 seconds with a time of 14:40. That time was good enough for a third place finish in the race, which was held at the University of Tennessee.
"I am very proud of the performance and want to thank God for blessing me through the race," said Gragg. "I have been working hard but just have not been able to show it in a race here lately, but tonight all the right parts of the puzzle came together."
Gragg and the rest of the Mars Hill men's track and field will travel to the Southeast Region Championship in Hickory, N.C. on Apr. 20-21.
