Grimes named SAC Player of the Week
Mars Hill freshman infielder Leah Grimes was named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Softball Player of the Week, announced by the league Tuesday morning.
ROCK HILL, S.C. - Mars Hill freshman infielder Leah Grimes was named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Softball Player of the Week, announced by the league Tuesday morning.
Grimes, a native of Advance, N.C., had a hit and drove in a run in three of the four games while scoring a run in every game on the week. She hit .636 with two doubles and two homers, driving in eight runs and scoring seven times with a 1.364 slugging percentage.
