Grimes, Sholter named to All-SAC Third Team
Mars Hill softball players Leah Grimes and Maia Sholter were named to the All-South Atlantic Conference Softball Third Team, as released by the league Thursday night.
ROCK HILL, S.C. - Mars Hill softball players Leah Grimes and Maia Sholter were named to the All-South Atlantic Conference Softball Third Team, as released by the league Thursday night.
Grimes, a freshman outfielder, led the team with 13 home runs, 11 doubles, 24 extra base hits, 47 RBI, a .511 on-base percentage, and a .742 slugging percentage. She was second on the team in hits (48) and batting average (.364).
Sholter, a sophomore catcher, led the Lions with a .367 batting average and .983 fielding percentage while throwing out 13 runners attempting to steal, and was third on the team with 47 hits. She drove in 28 runs on the year while recording 10 doubles and nine home runs.
