HARROGATE, Tenn. - The Mars Hill women's lacrosse team (1-4, 0-1 SAC) was defeated by Lincoln Memorial (4-2, 1-0 SAC) by a score of 14-5 Saturday afternoon.
The Lions netted two goals in the first half from the sticks of Makenna Olson and Molly Salus. Kendall Middleton assisted on Salus' marker.
After only one goals was scored in the third, Mars Hill scored three in the final 15 minutes of play as Haley Stallings, Abby Cleveland, and Chandler Werner scored for the Lions, the latter two with the man-advantage.
Toni Morgan led all players with five groundballs and led the team with three caused turnovers. Victoria Kaercher made 11 saves in her second start of the season.
Mars Hill returns to action on Saturday, March 8 when they face Wingate on the road. First draw is set for 12 p.m.
