Three Swimmers Named to ASC Academic All-Conference Team
Three Mars Hill swimmers were named to the Appalachian Swimming Conference All-Academic team, announced Monday by conference officials. Juniors Justin Gale, Maggie Mills and Rachel Louviaux were named to the team for the first time in their careers.
MARS HILL, N.C. - Three Mars Hill swimmers were named to the Appalachian Swimming Conference All-Academic team, announced Monday by conference officials. Juniors Justin Gale, Maggie Mills and Rachel Louviaux were named to the team for the first time in their careers.
Gale, a junior from Byron Center, Michigan, is an Athletic Training major with a 3.6 GPA. Gale was an Honorable Mention All-Conference selection.
Mills is a double major in Elementary Education and Special Education, with specializations in reading and AIG. She holds a 3.9 GPA. At the ASC meet two weeks ago, Mills was a member of the 200 Freestyle and 200 Medley Relay teams. Mills was also an Honorable Mention All-Conference selection.
Louviaux is an Apparel and Interior Merchandising and International Relations double major with a minor in French. Louviaux has a 3.6 GPA. Louviaux was a member of the 200 Freestyle and 200 Medley Relay teams, earning fifth place finishes in both events. Louviaux was an Honorable Mention All-Conference selection.
The Mars Hill men finished in second place at the Appalachian Swimming Conference meet two weeks ago, with the women earning an eighth place finish.
