Lions place seventh at BMC Championships
The Mars Hill women's swim team placed seventh at the conclusion of Bluegrass Mountain Conference Championships on Saturday with a total of 145 points.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Mars Hill women's swim team placed seventh at the conclusion of Bluegrass Mountain Conference Championships on Saturday with a total of 145 points.
In the 1650 yard freestyle race, Lorna Doorman placed 15th overall, recording a time of 18:24.54. Abbie Hinsley finished 18th with a time of 19:14.17.
Haley Horton placed third in the B-Final of the 200 yard backstroke, finishing with a time of 2:07.34. In the B-Final of the 200 yard breaststroke, Sarah Shapiro placed eighth with a time of 2:32.04. Turning in a time of 2:12.18, Brianna Broussard finished third in the B-Final of the 200 yard butterfly.
Horton, Doorman, Savannah Maddox and Elena Massa finished seventh in the 400 yard freestyle, recording a time of 3:42.37.
