Schmucker named BMI Postgraduate Scholarship Recipient
Mars Hill volleyball's Jordan Schmucker was named a 2023 Bob McCloskey Insurance (BMI) Postgraduate Scholarship recipient, as announced by the South Atlantic Conference Friday afternoon.
ROCK HILL, S.C. - Mars Hill volleyball's Jordan Schmucker was named a 2023 Bob McCloskey Insurance (BMI) Postgraduate Scholarship recipient, as announced by the South Atlantic Conference Friday afternoon.
Schmucker, a senior volleyball player from Myakka City, Fla., was a third team All-SAC selection in 2022. She led the league with 927 assists while adding 47 kills, 14 service aces, and 355 digs.
A mathematics and statistics major with a 3.98 GPA, Schmucker is a four-time Dean's List honoree, a three-time SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll selection, and she is a member of the Alpha Chi National Honor Society. Upon graduating, Schmucker plans on continuing her education at Mars Hill, where she will pursue a Master of Education.
The BMI postgraduate scholarships are awarded to SAC student-athletes who excel academically and athletically and have completed their final year of intercollegiate athletics competition. Schmucker will receive a one-time, non-renewable scholarship of $2,125 toward the graduate school of their choice.
