Sage Earns Academic All-America At-Large Team Honors

AUSTIN, Texas. - Mars Hill senior lacrosse midfielder Ryan Sage has been named to the 2015 Capital One Academic All-America® Division II Men's and Women's At-Large team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Sage is a first team honoree
A biology major with a 3.96 G.P.A., Sage helped the Lions win the 2015 South Atlantic Conference tournament title. He finished fourth in the league with his 40 goals. Sage was seventh on the league charts with his 48 points. On the 2015 NCAA list, the All-SAC second team pick was fifth in goals per game (2.86) and 11th in points per game (4.14).
Sage is the only lacrosse student-athlete to earn a spot on the Division II men's At-Large team and has earned Academic All-America® honors for the second straight year, as the 2015 Mars Hill graduate was a member of the third team a year ago. He was named a USILA Scholar All-American last month. Mars Hill finished the 2015 season with a 10-6 record.
