MARS HILL, N.C. - Every Wednesday throughout the 2020 fall semester, Mars Hill Athletics will feature and show appreciation to Mars Hill University Faculty and Staff for their support of our student-athletes.
Today, we feature Senior Business Analyst and MHU Athletics Photographer, Cindy Whitt.
Q: How long have you been at MHU?
A: 15 ½ years
Q: Favorite sports to attend/watch at MHU?
A: That's a tough question since I take pictures for all sports on campus. While it is true that I enjoy some sports better than others, when you get to know the students, you want to watch them compete. That makes every sport they are playing my favorite.
Q: What makes our student-athletes special?
A: I love the dedication our student-athletes have to their sports. Being an athlete is like having a full-time job to be on top of your game.
Q: What do you hope the student-athlete experience is like during their time at MHU?
A: I hope our student-athletes will experience that feeling you get when a diverse group of people come together, work for a common goal to achieve great things, and realize that not everything is measured in a win/loss column.
Q: What do you hope the student-athletes take away from their time, as a whole, at MHU?
A: I hope that our students, wherever life takes them, will always look back on their time here at MHU as a time filled with great memories. That the bonds they make with faculty, staff, and fellow students will remain strong throughout their life.
