Monroe Named AstroTurf Player of the Week
Mars Hill junior guard Patrick Monroe has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for the week of November 24-30.
ROCK HILL, S.C. - Mars Hill junior guard Patrick Monroe has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of November 24-30, conference officials announced this morning. Monroe earns the weekly honor for the first time in his Mars Hill career.
Monroe scored a career-high 31 points and set a school record with nine 3-pointers in an 84-73 win at Carson-Newman on Tuesday. Monroe was 10-of-21 from the field and had three assists, two rebounds and one steal in the victory.
Mars Hill returns to action tonight against Warren Wilson at 7 p.m. in Stanford Arena.
