Sage, Malcom Earn USILA Honors
Ryan Sage named a Scholar All-American while Anthony Malcom earns Honorable Mention All-American accolades
PERRY, N.Y.- Mars Hill senior midfielder Ryan Sage was named a United State Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Scholar All-American while senior midfielder Anthony Malcom was named an Honorable Mention Division II All-American.
Sage was one of 127 players among all NCAA Divisions to make the list. He graduated with a 3.96 GPA as a Biology major and was named to the Capital One Academic All-District III at-large team last week. Sage finished fourth in the South Atlantic Conference with 40 goals and seventh with 48 points. He earned a spot on the All-SAC second team and is fifth among NCAA Division II players with 2.86 goals per game and 11th with 4.14 points per game.
Malcom, the 2015 South Atlantic Conference Player of the Year, scored 36 goals with 30 assists for 65 total points. He earned SAC AstroTurf Player of the Week honors on March 2nd and had a season-high five goals in a 15-7 victory over Catawba on March 1.
