Mars Hill Men Selected as SAC Preseason Favorite
The Mars Hill men’s cross country team has been picked to win the 2015 South Atlantic Conference title
ROCK HILL, S.C.- The Mars Hill men's cross country team has been picked to win the 2015 South Atlantic Conference title in a preseason poll of the league's coaches, conference officials announced today.
The Lions, who have won 18 consecutive league crowns, tallied eight first place votes and 121 points. Queens was picked to finish second with three first place votes and 115 points. Wingate was chosen to finish third with one first place vote and 102 points.
Mars Hill placed five runners in the top 10 at the 2014 SAC Championships, with four of those five returning this season. The Lions begin the 2015 campaign next Friday at the Appalachian State Covered Bridge open at 6 p.m.
