Evans named SAC Player of the Week
Senior Ashley Evans was named the South Atlantic Conference Softball Player of the Week, as announced by the league Tuesday morning.
ROCK HILL, S.C. - Senior Ashley Evans was named the South Atlantic Conference Softball Player of the Week, as announced by the league Tuesday morning.
A senior utility player, Evans helped lead the Lions to a 1-1 record over Carson-Newman this past week. Overall, the Columbia, S.C. native averaged a 1.000 batting average, going 5-for-5 from the plate with a 3.000 slugging percentage, nine RBI's and three homeruns. This is Evans' first Player of the Week honor of the season.

The Lions return to action Thursday, March 4 when they face Anderson in SAC play. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
