GREENEVILLE, Tenn. - The Mars Hill women's soccer team (3-1-1, 1-1 SAC) was defeated by Tusculum (1-3-1, 1-2 SAC) by a score of 2-0 Wednesday night.
Tusculum struck twice in the first half, eight minutes apart. Sydney Grant scored her third of the season. She later picked up the first assist on Lakin Pennington's first of the year. The Pioneers outshot Mars Hill 7-3 in the first half.
Grant led all players with four shots. Carla Humera led the Lions with two followed by one apiece from Zoie Steinkamp, Marianne Ross, Kenzie Quinley, Nyjah Turner, and Bailey Whitehead-Price.
Camryn Miller made four saves in the contest.
The Lions return to the pitch on Saturday, September 23 when they take on Lenoir-Rhyne. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m.
