HARROGATE, Tenn. - The Mars Hill women's soccer team (3-3-3, 1-3-2 SAC) drew 1-1 with Lincoln Memorial (7-2-2, 3-0-2 SAC) Tuesday afternoon on the road.
A late Mars Hill penalty in the second half provided the Railsplitters an opportunity to tie the game at one. Converting on the penalty with 1:26 remaining was Carla Wilson, scoring her first of the season.
The Railsplitters outshot Mars Hill 7-1 in the second half.
The Lions opened the scoring in the 11th minute as Ashley Lindsay scored her first as a Lion. Chloe Halis picked up her first point as a Lion as well, assisting on the marker.
Ryan Branson led all players with three shot attempts. Carla Humera and Samantha Swinson led the Lions with two shot attempts apiece.
Camryn Miller made five saves in the contest.
Mars Hill returns home on Friday, October 6 when they host Wingate at 5 p.m. inside Meares Stadium.
