Mars Hill opens spring SAC action versus Wolves
The Mars Hill women's tennis team (2-5, 0-1 SAC) fell to Newberry (10-0, 2-0 SAC) by a score of 7-0 Sunday afternoon to open South Atlantic Conference play.
MARS HILL, N.C. - The Mars Hill women's tennis team (2-5, 0-1 SAC) fell to Newberry (10-0, 2-0 SAC) by a score of 7-0 Sunday afternoon to open South Atlantic Conference play.
Ines Rodriguez took the first versus Judit Gonzalez Agud by a mark of 7-5. Gonzalez Agud rallied to take the second and third set to help the Wolves complete the sweep.
The Lions will take on UNC Asheville in exhibition play on Tuesday, February 4 on the road at 1 p.m. Their next SAC matchup will take place in the Hart Tennis Complex on Saturday, February 8 at 1 p.m.
