MARS HILL, N.C. – The Lions and Brevard battled to a scoreless draw in South Atlantic Conference men's soccer action Friday night in the Ammons Family Athletic Center and Meares Stadium. Mars Hill took their overall record to 2-4-1 and their SAC record to 1-2-1. The Tornados are 2-5-1 on the year and 2-1-1 in the league.
Mars Hill outshot Brevard, 23-8. The Lions recorded five corner kicks while Brevard had one. Connor Talbot played all 110 minutes in goal for MHU and made four saves. Heath turner also played the entire match in the net for the Tornados and made 12 saves.
Mars Hill will host SAC foe Coker on Saturday, October 3. The match is set to begin at 7:30 p.m.
