Men's Swimming Dominate Versus King

MARS HILL, N.C. – The Mars Hill men's swim team opened the fall portion of its schedule with a dominating performance against King (Tenn.) on Sunday, September 25. The Lions collected the dual win with a score of 192-60.
Several swimmers for the Blue and Gold posted multiple wins on the afternoon. Elijah Sears picked up four victories (200 medley relay, 100 IM, 100 Fly, and 50 Fly), while Vitor Goncalves also contributed four wins in the effort (200 medley relay, 200 free relay, 100 free, and 50 free).
Adrian Acero (200 medley relay, 50 breast, and 200 IM) and Harrison Butler (200 medley relay, 200 free relay, and 100 backstroke) picked up three wins on the afternoon for the Lions. Matthew Walker was able to finish the day with two wins (200 and 500 free), while Chad Bateson won the 100-yard breaststroke.
The Lions will return to the water on Friday, October 21 as they host Lenoir-Rhyne University. The dual meet is scheduled to start at 5 p.m.
