Men's Swimming Dominant on Senior Day

MARS HILL, N.C. – The Lions' men's swimming team defeated Milligan and Warren Wilson in a double-dual meet Saturday afternoon at Harrell Pool on Senior Day. The Lions beat Milligan 194-41 and beat Warren Wilson, 208-17. Mars Hill improved to 8-1 on the season. Prior to the meet, Mars Hill recognized their five senior swimmers; Brett Malmstrom, Ryan Martin, Alandas McGraw, Thomas Moore and Michael Norman.
Event winners during the men's meet included Malmstrom who won the 200 fly and was part of the medley relay team win. Erwin Ortiz won the 200 free, 100 free, 500 free and was part of the free relay team win. Elijah Sears won the 100 breast, 100 fly and also was part of the free relay team victory. Ryan Martin won the 50 free, member of the free relay winning team and a member of the winning medley team. Grant Greenhill won the 200 back while Adrian Acero won the 200 individual medley. Matthew Walker finished out the individual winners by winning the 1,000 free. Harrison Butler was a member of the free and medley relay teams while Andy Disco participated on the winning medley relay team.
Mars Hill will return to action on January 28, when they host St. Andrews and UNC Pembroke in a double dual at Harrell Pool. The action is set to begin at 1 p.m.
