WISE, Va. - The Mars Hill women's lacrosse team (2-10, 1-7 SAC) was defeated by UVA Wise (6-8, 3-5 SAC) by a score of 20-3 Saturday afternoon on the road.
The Lions trailed 6-2 after the first quarter. The Cavaliers had six different goal scorers in the frame. Nevaeh Louden and Haley Stallings netted the Lions' tallies, both off of free positions.
Over the second and third quarters, Mars Hill was held scoreless, entering the fourth down 17-2.
Kendall Middleton scored 1:28 into the final frame, assisted by Brooklyn Nemitz.
Logen Davis led all players with seven points (2G, 5A). Louden, Middleton, and Stallings each recorded one goal while Nemitz collected the lone Mars Hill assist on the day.
Mars Hill hosts Newberry on Wednesday, April 9 at 4 p.m. inside Meares Stadium.
