ANDERSON, S.C. – The Lions lost their final regular season contest at Anderson 1-0 at Trojan Stadium. Mars Hill fell to 6-10-1 overall and 3-8 in the South Atlantic Conference. Anderson improved to 9-5-1 overall and 6-4-1 in the conference.
Alaina Gay scored the lone goal in the match at the 82:19 mark off a pass from Tina Shakes. Anderson outshot the Lions 23-4. The Trojans edged the Lions in corner kicks, 5-2. Anderson was called offsides four times as opposed to the Lions being called offsides twice.
Kaitlyn Danglemaier played the first 30:56 in goal for Mars Hill and made seven saves. Rachel Witkin played the final 59:04 in the net for the Lions and made six saves. Abby Helm played all 90 minutes in goal for Anderson and made two saves.
