Lions remain sixth in NCAA Southeast Region Rankings for third week straight
The Mars Hill volleyball team remained sixth for the third week in a row in the NCAA Southeast Region Rankings, released Wednesday afternoon.
ROCK HILL, S.C. - The South Atlantic Conference posted six teams in the NCAA Southeast Regional Women's Volleyball Rankings. Tusculum came in at No. 1, followed by Wingate moving into the No. 2 spot, Anderson came in at No. 3, followed by Lenoir-Rhyne at No. 4, Mars Hill stayed in the No. 6 spot, and Carson-Newman rounded out the SAC teams at No. 8.
Overall, the Pioneers are 19-4, the Bulldogs are 22-3, the Trojans are 20-6, the Bears are 19-7, the Lions are 21-11 and the Eagles are 18-13.
Tusculum, Wingate, Lenoir-Rhyne and Anderson will all be playing in the SAC Volleyball Championship Semifinals this coming Friday, November 19, 2021.
The rankings are the official poll utilized by the NCAA in the championship selection process and will continue to be released each week by the NCAA Division II Women's Volleyball Committee up to the NCAA Championship selections.
