Lions finish fourth at Winthrop Invitational
The Mars Hill women's cross country team placed fourth at the Winthrop Cross Country Invitational Saturday afternoon.
ROCK HILL, S.C. - The Mars Hill women's cross country team placed fourth at the Winthrop Cross Country Invitational Saturday afternoon.
The Lions were the top finishing DII team on the day, turning in a combined time of 1:50.32.
Haley Gallup, for the second straight race, was the top placing runner for the Lions, finishing 14th overall. Gallup turned in a time of 20:14.3. Senior Nyla Feeney finished 21st with a time of 21:27.3.
Sydney Britt followed close behind, placing 24th with a time of 22:08.9. The duo of Megan Van Etten and Kylee Peck placed 33rd and 36th, respectively.

The Lions return to action on Saturday, September 28th at the Greensboro Cross Country Invitational. The race is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
