Lions turn in personal bests at Royals Cross Country Challenge
The Mars Hill women's cross country team ran in the Royals Cross Country Challenge Friday afternoon, placing 43rd out of the 63 teams that competed.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Mars Hill women's cross country team ran in the Royals Cross Country Challenge Friday afternoon, placing 43rd out of the 63 teams that competed.
Several personal bests were recorded on the day, including Haley Gallup's best collegiate 5k time, ran in 18:46.5. Gallup was the top finishing Lions, placing 68th out of over 540 racers.
Sage Shiflett shaved over 45 seconds off of her previous best time, completing the race in 22:46.8. Recording a personal best of her own, Alyssa Jamerson ran the race in 23:11.8.
The Lions posted a total time of 1:48:09.60, with an average of 21:37.92 per runner.
