Mars Hill wraps up ETSU Invitational

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – Shahnika Williams placed fourth in the long jump to conclude the second day of the ETSU Invitational.
Williams recorded a mark of 5.67m (18'7.25") in her finals flight which placed fourth and was the fourth best of all 38 competitors who posted a mark. The distance set a new Mars Hill school record and placed first among DII schools. She is now ranked 12th in the nation for DII. Teammate Cameron Saxon was 23rd overall with a mark of 4.98m (16'4.25"), a number that was good for third in her finals flight.
In the shotput, Tiffany Holloway finished 24th overall with a throw of 11.05m (36'3"). Jordan Bair posted a mark of 3.05m (10') in the pole vault.
Nyla Feeney led four Lions' in the 3000 meter race, placing 27th overall with a time of 11:46.10, which was good for third in her finals section and set a new personal record. Rachel Strickland clocked in at 12:01.44 and followed close behind with a time of 12:09.46. The times were good for 33rd and 36th places, respectively. Hannah Jones rounded out the quartet, placing 44th overall.
