Williams places fifth in long jump at Catamount Classic

CULLOWHEE, N.C. - Mars Hill's Shahnika Williams placed fifth in the women's long jump to highlight the women's track and field team's performance on day one of the 2018 Catamount Classic.
Williams posted a time mark of 5.56m (18'3"). Cameron Saxon finished the event in 18th with a distance of 4.97m (16'3.75"). Shaniqua Stevens was 28th in the event.
In the javelin throw, Tiffany Holloway placed 15th with a mark of 29.10m (95'06").
The Lions sit in 13th overall, accumulating four points on the day.
