Hochstetler leads Lions to third straight win
Lauren Hochstetler's game-high 16 kills earned the Lions their third straight victory against Lenoir-Rhyne Tuesday evening in four sets (26-24, 21-25, 25-17, 25-11). The win was their first on the road this season.

Mars Hill hung tough against the Bears in the first set, squeaking out the extra point to go up in the contest. The Bears battled back in the second frame to even the match at one set apiece.
The Lions found an extra gear in the third set and never looked back. For the remaining two sets, the teams were only tied twice and Mars Hill never vanquished a lead. Arguably the most dominant set of the season was the clincher where the Lions secured their win by a score of 25-11, led by Hochstetler's five kills.
She also added 15 digs, three aces and one assist.
Rebecca Butler hammered home the game-winning kill for her seventh of the match. She also led the team with 16 digs on the evening.
Maddie Spurgeon added 11 kills and extended her team leading total to 113, just three more than Sally Anne Johnson who wrapped up the contest with nine kills and team-high .333 hitting percentage. Sarah Pasour had 27 assists.
Taylor Prall collected 11 kills and two blocks for the Bears. Lenoir-Rhyne had 11 team blocks with Jacyln Denny picking up seven block assists.
Mars Hill will take their three-game winning streak to Anderson Saturday, October 7 at 2 p.m.
